Made with a grey stoneware clay, bisque fired to 1900F, hand painted with wax resist, and glazed. Not perfect protection, but fewer mosquitos in the past two weeks. I use them in my study where I'm most likely to sit still -- one down low on my desk chair (reduces ankle bites), one on a door knob, one on a corner of my desk.
